Catherine is a lawyer and company director. Catherine has over 25 years’ experience in insurance/ reinsurance law and commercial litigation. Catherine's experience spans general and life insurance and also superannuation. Catherine has significant experience in the areas of professional indemnity, directors and officers’ litigation, cyber risk, privacy, commercial litigation, class actions and white collar crime. Catherine provides regulatory, compliance and governance advice as well as policy/product drafting to clients in the financial services sector.

Catherine has been involved in some of the largest and most sensitive cases involving ASIC, APRA, the ATO and the ACCC. Catherine has significant experience with Royal and Special Commissions including matters arising from the HIH, AWB, James Hardie Commissions and the Royal Commissions into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.

Catherine has also held board appointments in the financial services, education and arts (not for profit) sectors including 9 years as a Non-Executive Director of Zurich Australian Superannuation Pty Limited. Catherine is a creative thinker who loves the arts, sport and spending time with her family. Catherine was recognised by Australasian Lawyer in 2015 as a community champion (for her Pro Bono and CSR work) and as one of Australia's top 50 women to watch. Catherine was also a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards for 2015 as Mentor of the Year. Catherine has been recognised by Who's Who of Australian Women which celebrates the outstanding achievements of Australian women, ranked by Chambers Asia Pacific as a leading individual and by Best Lawyers as a leading insurance lawyer.
