Richard is a Director of Polczynski Robinson with a focus on commercial, construction and insolvency litigation.

He enjoys an enviable reputation as a problem-solver with over 25 years' experience in Australia and the UK. Richard has a steely reputation for resolving complex litigation for and against liquidators, receivers, administrators and trustees. 

Richard regularly advises on:

  • insolvent estates
  • unfair preferences
  • voidable transactions
  • retention of title disputes
  • trusts and tracing of funds
  • insolvent trading claims
  • actions against directors for breach of duties

Richard has worked on some extremely high-profile cases involving the Arrium Group, Amerind, Lehman Brothers, Jackgreen Ltd and the Raptis Group of companies in the following courts:

  • Full Federal Court
  • High Court

Richard has a wealth of experience in running major corporate litigation involving complex, highly-structured financial models, like those arising from the Allco Group's insolvency. His experience also covers large-scale construction litigation including expert determinations, and arbitration processes relating to defective works and increased scope of works claims.
