Stephen advises insurers, financial institutions and insolvency practitioners in relation to large and complex insolvencies or smaller SME insolvencies to achieve successful and pioneering outcomes.

He has have advised on some of the country’s highest profile matters including Bridgecorp, Betta Electrical, Centaur Mining, Harris Scarfe, HIH, Sons of Gwalia, Westpoint Constructions, St Hilliers, Southern Cross Constructions, Geon Printing and Dick Smith.

Few lawyers in Australia have significant expertise in both the insolvency and insurance fields.  Understanding the insurance market means he works with Australian and international insurers, reinsurers, brokers and insureds in relation to all aspects of trade credit insurance, and is recognised as a leader in this field.  His expertise extends to advising on performance guarantees, surety bonds and deposit bonds.
